You are asked to provide a pseudonym, your email address and a password. You will be identified as a contributor by your pseudonym, which will indelibly be associated with your email address. You will not be able to change your pseudonym -- choose it with care. Pseudonyms must be unique. You will be prompted to enter another if your choice has already been taken.
We request contributors' email addresses for two reasons:
1) They are necessarily unique identifiers; and
2) This will help us block contributors who are abusive or discourteous.
A randomly generated password will be sent to your email address. You may use this password to log in to the discussion forum and then change the password for something easier to remember. To protect your personal information, once the password has been sent to you, your email address will be hashed (one-way encrypted) before being stored in our database.
